Many Mini Musicians is a nonprofit organization that Ruby founded at 12 years old. Many Mini Musicians funds Fine Arts programs throughout public schools and creates opportunities for students to experience the Arts! Through this organization Ruby has had the opportunity to advocate for increased Fine Arts funding at the state capitol, host fundraising concerts that feature young performers, and meet educators who are working hard to make sure that every student has access to Arts education!
In the last four years, Ruby has been able to raise over $35,000 for music programs in public schools by hosting fundraising concerts. Her biggest concert of the year is Hello Summer. Hello Summer features young performers giving them an opportunity to share their talent with their communities. Musicians get very few chances to show their talent and hard work because performance opportunities can be scarce, but the Hello Summer concert gives them one more stage! Her hope is that Hello Summer will foster a deep sense of community as families gather to support their mini musicians.
Most recently, because of the outbreak of Covid-19, Ruby has started a new social media campaign called Share Your Music, which encourages young musicians nationwide to share a video of themselves singing or playing their favorite song! Music is an incredible way for us to connect with each other and because of social media, we can reach more people than ever. Ruby's hope is that Share Your Music will promote community involvement in the arts and spread joy through the gift of music during this uncertain time.
