A nonprofit that aims to fund fine arts in public schools and create opportunities for students to experience the arts.
- Planned and Hosted fundraising annual fundraising concerts that feature young musicians. These concerts included the Hello Spring and Hello Summer outdoor concerts.
- Awarded over $50,000 to fine arts programs at public schools and community organizations in Florida and Alabama in the form of grants.
- Recognized by Points of Light and the Disney Family Volunteer Rewards Program
College Ready Marion
College readiness program for 9-11 grade students at Francis Marion School in Marion, Alabama.
- Developed a college and career readiness curriculum specifically curated for 9-11th grade students at Francis Marion School alongside a group of three other undergraduate students.
- Implemented the curriculum during the Blackbelt Experience through the University Fellows Experience in May of 2023.
- Recorded and analyzed the results of the program in the year following the Blackbelt Experience.
- Presented these results at UA’s Undergraduate Research Conference in order to shed light on the need for and potential success of college and career readiness initiatives in the Blackbelt of Alabama.
